Dick Swonger has been chosen as “2007 Driver of the Year” by the National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC). Dick was one of ten drivers that received this honor. He was chosen from amongst a pool of 60,000 other driver nominees. Dick and his wife, Sondra were taken to NASTC’s annual convention that was held in Nashville, Tennessee. For three days, November 1st – 3rd, he was honored with many awards including a VIP dinner show aboard the General Jackson Showboat, a driver of the year decal for his truck, shirts, jackets, hats, a pocket knife, a personalized pen, cell phone service, a large plaque, a leather embroidered duffle bag, numerous cash awards and gift certificates.

Dick has been a valued employee at Vork Motor Transport for more than 13 years, since September 6, 1994. During this time, he has a record of 2.4 million miles of safe driving. He is a professional driver all the way around. Not only is he safe behind the wheel of his truck but he is always looking at servicing the customers.
